bleeding and pain

I had a tah with removal of both ovaries and cervix, when they got in there the dr found the outside of my ovaries were covered with endometrosis. I have had lots of pains the last couple days burning and little bleeding, I have noticed an odd odor when going to the bathroom. I already have called my dr about bleeding one week after coming home, I don't want my dr to think I am a pain, I just wanted to ck is this "normal" or should I be concerned, pain is enough that I still am taking pain pills to relax to sleep.

Thanks for your support!!

bleeding and pain

The odor might be from the stitches, at least that was what I was told. Sounds like you went through one heck of a procedure. Pls never think you are being a "pain" when calling your Dr.
The body is healing - hang in there.

bleeding and pain

Hi. I had a TAH, LSO for endo as well. I am at almost 13 weeks post op now. I don't know what kind of pain you are having, but I did have the gas/bowel pain from time to time, plus some pain when I was peeing. There was also some pain/tenderness from my vertical incision, swelly belly problem.
If you are in so much pain that it is interfering with your ability to fall asleep, I would definitely give your Dr. a call. Sometimes the nurse can figure it out over the phone, and if she doesn't know, I have had my Dr. give me a call. Good luck, please let us know how you make out.
