Is it just me?

Unfortunately, my Mum passed away and I flew out (7hrs flying) home. I was about 5 1/2 weeks post op. Now, I REALLY over did it, clearing out furniture, packing things things into my suitcase that my Dad wanted gone, cooking to fill his freezer..etc..

Here's my problem. I bloody HURT. My back, belly, hips, you name it. I'm walking like a hunched over duck! Is this due to too much strain on my bobo?

Would appreciate any advice. Even my dogs are looking at me weird.

Cheers Georgy

I was doing GREAT untill I flew out. Also, pls don't think I'm shrugging off my Mums passing. It was a blessing, as she hated being an invalid. I know she's up above, pain free, and with no dementia. But now, she can watch my every move. YIKES!

Yes, i think you've done too much. Is it all done now? Are you able to rest up and have a good rest?
Hope you get it all sorted out soon, sorry about your mum, but if it was a blessing, then be glad for her.

Hi Georgy.
Hope you're able to take it easy now. Can you relax now, and put your feet up when you want to?

I lost my Mom and Dad to cancer almost 5 years ago, and know the whole cleaning, sorting thing. It is physically and emotionally draining.

Have a good rest, and take care of yourself. You've been through an awful lot.

Having lost my mom to cancer I know it can be a very emotional time. Even though they are so sick and it is a blessing for them to go it is hard to not have them with us anymore. It sounds like you need some TLC and to just sit back and rest. Let your DH take care of you until you feel better. So sorry for your loss.

Hi hun...

I am sorry about your Mom. My Dad passed away from cancer and I know how heart wrenching it can be.

Hun...you definately over-did it. I would strongly suggest that you (are you listening???) sit down and rest for a few days. I mean it...it's time to take care of yourself. Your mind and your body has been stressed and it can't heal properly.

I'd also suggest calling your doctor. He/she might just want you to rest too...but he/she might want to hae you come in.

Please don't take this lightly...you need to get your body in a better place for healing. You've been through too much after the surgery. I'm concerned about you.

PS... I like your signiture line...it made me laugh! Too cute!

Now you rest...ya hear me???

Oh, I feel soooooo sorry for what you are going through now. What a time for this to happen.. Well I guess if you want to be a little positive you could say, good thing it didn't happen when you were just 3 days post op or somthing.. PLEASE take care of YOU Now.. PLEASE! GEt into the bed with a crossword puzzle or whatever you like to do (I think I have bought out all the crossword puzzles in our TOWN,, LOL).. REST that body and spirit and MIND and know that your Mother is with you always... You will be in my prayers and thoughts.. Kathie

So sorry to hear about your Mum!
Take the advice of all our sisters and REST!
I am at about the same spot in recovery as you and yesterday my dear dog decided she was going to eat the mailman-(She never did this before but since she has been with me everyday since the castle and guess she thinks I am all hers)
anyways....I had to hold her back um she is 70lbs and I think I may have overdid too.Different pain than before.
So I am going to take that advice too and think good thoughts to you!

thoughts and prayers to you
