Body Ball

Hi Everyone,

I'ts been a while since I've posted. I started doing daycare end of March and have been really busy with that and my own five (teens).

I'm 11 months post op tvh w/repairs and started going to the chiropracter for my lower back. I also had ribs out of place that she put back in place. I've have lost 20lbs since end of Feb. Most of that was water retention. I gained 20lbs after my surgery and couldn't get it off. After she started adjusting my back I started losing the water. Now recently she told me to get one of those body balls and start strenghening my back and stomach muscles. How many of you gals have used one of these? I've had mine for less than a week and I am finding muscles I never new I had.

Thanks for any info.

I hear you!

I even tried Pilates on the Ball & the next day I was laying on the couch & reached for the remote on the coffee table & felt major pain! Who knew I had all those muscles!

Although I do not use mine all the time I can tell you that I absolutely love my exercise ball. It has been noted for being an excellent abdominal exerciser. I can see why. It is easy and fun. You dont really even have to try to get a workout. I have gotten mine out and just sat infront of the tv and played on it. Just have fun with it

Body Ball

Hi --

We use a Body Ball in my Pilates class (which I take one day per week, I do weight-lifting and other classes on different days) and we also use it sometimes in a toning class I take one day per week........it's amazing how even with the weight-lifting and cardio that I do, I can always tell when I've worked out with the ball the day before........it really works!!

what is the best brand of body ball out there. I bought one (can't remember which) and it wouldn't stay inflated. Maybe just a bad one??

I got mine at Walmart and paid $12.88. The one my chiropracter wanted to sell me was $30. Target has three different sizes from small to large. They come in a kit that has a pilate band and video that runs from 29.99 through 39.99. They only have one size at Walmart and its a large (65cm). The brand is Athletic Works.

I was a proper gym fiend pre-op, but 'cos of post-op problems could only return to the gym last week.

I've had my first ever Pilates on the ball class this morning - there was only one exercise I couldn't do.

From your posts, sounds like I'll feel them abs tomorrow!!

Hi Gals,
I love my fitball. I got mine at Target with the tape. I have the green one. I am almost 5'9". It's good for my aching joints. It's also a good workout. I've found a few tapes to use at Sam Goody. One is called "The Zone". I'm really glad I invested.
