I am just curious. I have had my share of bladder infections. I mean, when I get one, it is so awful. But for years, I have also had times when I felt like I was going to get a bladder infection but it doesn't turn into a full blown one. It burns for a bit and I drink lots of water and/or take bath.
I asked my Dr. if this had something to do with the endo and she said probably.
What does feels like a bladder infection feel like? I am not sure I have ever had one, but my surgery was the 27th and I feel a little burning when I pee. Also right before I have to go it kind of feels really full and achy, then I pee slowly with burning sensation. Sometimes I just wait a few seconds then tinkle a little more. Is this common or are these common sypmptoms of a bladder infection. I am not running a fever , but I do have a call into my Dr.
HI! After surgery, I did have my bladder feel pretty tender and a bit burny. At my 2 week check-up, I did have a bladder infection, which Dr. put me on antibiotics for. So, if in doubt, DO get your urine checked. I am going to my Family Dr. tomorrow to double check and make sure it is gone. My bladder still feels kind of sensitive, but I have heard other sisters say that post op our bladders don't feel quite normal.. I'd get it checked tho..
Good Luck.... Kathie
My Dr's Nurse said the burning sensation could be a definite sign of infection and they wanted tme to get them a sample as soon as possible. It was also one of the things to notify my Dr about on the list the hospital sent home with me for things to watch out for? Dr. sent me to get my urine tested yesterday, I should have results back later this afternoon. In the meantime I am drinking Cran Grape and Cran Apple Juice and Lots and Lots of water.
