made an appt with gyn/onc
I made an appointment with the gyn/onc that my gyn works with, in fact he most likely is the one she consulted with. My gyn could not do the surgery till June anyway and even though I can't get into to see the gyn/onc till May 18th they told he should be able to get me in before end of June as well.
And last, night over the phone, I told my husband that I had an appointment with a onc/gyn on May 18th and if he wanted to go with me he needs to be sure to be in town that day, he almost fell over. I think he FINALLY gets it now. And of course he will go but thankfully I think this will be the end of his insensitive comments and dissmissive attitude concerning some of the health issues I have been facing. And I told him it was because of those comments that I did not tell him right away, so I am sure that really cleared the air. He plans to stay in town for an entire week after my surgery. I knew once I had his attention he would be supportive, getting him to close his mouth and really listen was the hard part.

Dear Trudy,
I am glad you have an appointment with a Gyne/Onc and that is who will do your surgery. You know men can be such insensitive clods but he may have been poo pooing you because he was scared. I am glad you got his attention. I hope only the best for you.

Dear Trudy,
This is Wonderful News! I am truly delighted to hear this.
It's so hard when the Men in our lives don't take us seriously. Whether it's fear or lack of medical awareness or just plain insensitivity, it seems to happen quite a lot.
Enormous smiles!

Trudy,
So glad things are moving for you! And glad that DH is seeing reality. But I agree, it could be that he's just so scared, and in a sort of denial. Guess we can give him the benefit of the doubt!
I wish your appt were sooner, so that you'd have information sooner, but I'm glad that at least it's scheduled.
You're being kept in prayer.
Blessings.
