Anyone Else Find "Sick" Uterus?

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Upon my LAVH my surgeon found that my uterus was not the "normal" colour. It was found to be boggy and instead of a pink/flesh colour it was almost completely white.

My surgeon said that she found it to be very pale, almost like it no longer had any blood supply. I have photographs of it from my surgery and it truly is startling. It was even a little frightening as my doctor does not know what it means, and has not seen anything like it before. We all agreed that it does not look happy at all.

I have a 9 year history of Endometriosis and pelvic pain, period of infertility before blessings of children, Endometritis PP, PP hemorrhage with retained products x2, possible chronic Endometritis, irregular bleeding. Hopeful and thankful for a new beginning now.

I am wondering if anyone else has known this to happen or had this finding in their surgery? We all wait anxiously for the pathology report. So interested to hear your replies...thanks.

Blessings

Anyone Else Find "Sick" Uterus?

Yes, I too had a boggy, discolored uterus! I thought it was normal since all of the endo that was on it. I go to sick my Dr on Wednesday, I will have to ask her about it. I was so out of it after my surgery, I never thought to even ask.

The wierd thing is, that when I was pregnant with my last child my doctor kept referring to my uterus as cranky, and sick, because I kept trying to go into labor too early.

It really was sick and cranky, I have probably has endo since 1998 with my second child, that is when all my problems began.

I will let you know what my dr says!
