I'm having myself a little pity party...
Hi Sisters,
I have been really low the last few days and am having myself a little "pity party". I am crying at the drop of a hat and feeling very sorry for myself. I'm sure that it's hormones or lack of and will talk to my dr. about it when I go for my 6 week check on the 14th. He did say that he may have to increase my dosage of Premarin at some point. He is very conservative and started me on the lowest possible dosage the day after surgery. I am feeling like my friends have all forgotten about me. Talked to my DH about it and he says they are all just letting me "rest". Anyone else out there feeling like this?? I am four weeks post op today--TVH with A/P repair on April 5. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. All of your support means so much to me. I would be going absolutely bonkers if I didn't have my "hystersisters".

I'm having myself a little pity party...
Hi...I had my surgery on the same day as you and I've had to call my doctor a few times to up my premarin dose.I'm now on 1.25mg and promethium 100mgs.My crying has stopped but I'm still waking up a little sweaty at night.I can handle the night sweats but the crying was sending me over the edge.
Maybe you should call the dr.s office and see if they can increase your dose.It helped me alot.

pity party
Sorry you are down right now. I send hugs and best wishes your way. Just think of it as a party and drop the pity part, don't all women just love a party. If you feel up to it invite 1 or 2 of your friends to party with you. Even though they know you are recovering maybe they could cheer you up just by dropping by. If you call them let them know you are lonely and want company even if only for a short while. They will understand and might even bring chocolate!! We don' tread minds even though we like to have others think we do so a little call might not be a bad idea if you are up to the company. Just a thought and no matter what you do I hope you feel "up" again real soon. Hugs to you in recovery. Tonya

Pity Party
Joanne,
I am so sorry you feel down! I had a period of time when I was down, but I would look at all the spring clothes at Nordstrom, Banana Republic, etc. Just to cheer me up! My surgery was in January so a lot spring clothes were being shown. Just try to think of something that makes you smile!!
My prayers are with you and pray that this time will pass! But sometimes we have to have a little pity party!! Just get your husband to bring you some balloons!

I'm having myself a little pity party...
Thanks, Ladies, for your support. I sure appreciate it. I did get a call from one of my closest girlfriends and there was a huge misunderstanding. I told her how I was feeling and thought that my support group had forgotton about me but they haven't. Seems they were all under the impression that my DD was still here visiting and weren't aware that she left last Tuesday. They all thought that she was here for a week plus the weekend and then they gave me time to recoup. She assured me that they still all love me and that they are here for me. That just about did it and I had a meltdown when I hung up with her. I'm a bit better but still very weepy. I just might call my to see if it's OK to increase my premarin. I'll keep everyone posted.
 s to all, Joanne

I'm having myself a little pity party...
Just wanted to give everyone an update...did put a call to my dr. and he has increased my HRT. Hopefully, it'll help. I have had a couple of meltdowns and can't stand the way I'm feeling. I'm trying to hang in there. My DH has been just wonderful and so understanding. He keeps telling me that once my hormones are all regulated that I'll be feeling like my old self. At least I'm not being b****y and grouchy. Don't know which is worse!
For TexasGal: stay in your jammies and show everyone your discharge orders. You should be resting, resting, resting and not doing things that your body is on ready for. If you still are having problems with your family, get your gyno on the phone and have dr. talk to the whole family. You will not be able to heal properly if you are getting overtired. Be gentle with yourself and take care.

Maybe you can call some of your friends and meet them all for lunch. Or, perhaps they can bring food to your house at lunch time and you can all get together there.
Invite someone over to watch a movie with you.
Hang in there and post here as often as you need to!
