Mood Swings

I suffer from depression and mood swings and take Lexapro. I am wondering if any of you ladies know if once I am a "free woman", will my symptoms subside since I will be on HRT? Will my moodiness be releaved? My poor DH can't take anymore of them! Help

Mood Swings

S

Although I have never taken medication for depression, etc. I can tell you about my experience with Provera when I was PreOp. I was a madwoman, mood swings like you couldn't believe. I took the Provera for 10 days a month to control the bleeding. I called it "drug enhanced" PMS. Anyway, after surgery I started on HRT (and no more provera), and my moods have evened out since I have a consistent amount of estrogen, no ups and downs.

My DH has commented many times how much improved my moods are, and if I get close to the end of a prescription he gets nervous and will even go to the pharmacy to pick up the refill.

I hope you have similar results.

Best wishes!
