Hi...yes, you can still get yeast infections! Wouldn't it be nice if the hyst took them away forever?? I've had 2 since my hyst. Call your Dr. and tell him your symptoms. He will probably call you in a Diflucan pill. They work great! As for the bladder...I never heard of it shrinkng. It's probably just (disturbed) from the surgery and you probably need to sit a little longer to empty it fully! Good Luck!
Yea just want I didn't want to here. I figured going commando that would prevent that from happening. But I just realized that I was given antibodic's before my surgery and after. Just as a prevention per my doctor. So I better call before it get really bad. Anticbodic's and I don't get along!
I have had two yeast infections since surgery, which were side effects from antibiotic use. I never really had a problem with yeast infections before surgery, and now it seems I am more prone to them. I am almost nine weeks post-op TAH.
