It won't help if you have an actual infection, of course, but if you take a Vitamin E capsule and pierce it, or just bite the end off--it doesn't taste bad--and apply it to the affected areas, it will soothe and help it heal. I use that on my back end too. Then just drop the emptied capsule into the toilet.
I didn't know I'd be shaved either but I guess I should have realized it would be necessary.

Funny you should ask that, I just returned from the dr. today and with the same symtoms, and its scoring down there. Yep I have a yeast infection, she gave me a pill and cream. I need to go to the bathroom alot too, not sure why. But maybe that is what you have. I was on antibotics for a bladder infection and now this, at 8 weeks what is next.

Thankyou girls so much for your input.........if you want to read my previous posts (many) you'll know the whole story - massive doses of ABs over many months, 2 surgeries, complications, total wipe out of bodily good flora, etc. etc. still trying to get over all that. I think the toilet tissue was the culprit this time. Thanks again, hugs to all,

I try to get hypo-allergenic TP for home. No colors or fragrances or just any extras. Cottenelle makes one I can use and they have the wet wipes that I use whenever have a bout of diarhea.

You have to wonder about the conditions in the factories where TP is made. I doubt the product is ever sterile, especially the "fancier" ones with colors and fragrances and lotions. Might the lotions help sustain bacterial growth we can't see? Food for thought. I wonder about feminine hygiene products too.
Still it's got to be better than the corn cob days.

I sooo don't want to think about that! It is probably true. Why would I assume no one has every touched my toilet paper or fem. hyg. products before me. When my mother was young they had special "rags" they used and when finished they boiled them to get them clean. I suppose that's where the term "on the rag" came from. Bummer!!!
