mood swings etc

Hello to everyone. Not posted for ages but generally feel good. Had vaginal hysterectomy beg of feb and they kept my ovaries as i'm just 37 now. Still feel tired if i overdo or shop for more than 2hrs and sex life is getting there but not as much as before op. Think about it but then can't be bothered when time comes. Sorry hubby!

My main concern is i have terrible mood swings and i am snapping at hubby and kids for least little thing. Seems important at time but with hindsight i am letting the least little thing wind me up. Could quite easily fall out with all the neighbours if they so much as look at me wrong or criticise me or my home and family. I get bad pains in my knees and my breasts are quite tender especially my left one. Seems like great chunks of my hair fall out in shower and when i brush it but otherwise ok. Have gone a bit forgetful and have to leave myself reminders which wasn't me before op. Keep telling myself it is only 14 weeks since surgery so don't know if this is normal or not. I am due to go back to work in 2 weeks and i am dreading it because i have been off for this long and could quite easily stay at home if i was getting paid!!!

Sorry if this sounds as if i am feeling sorry for myself. Was very positive in hospital and me and the other girls laughed ourselves better but now i just feel different and weird. I have done easy things at home like painting rooms, changing furniture etc and now i have no more left to do!!

PLEASE PLEASE help me as i know this isn't normal to me and want to get it sorted.

Give your doctor a call an let them know how you are feeling. Hormone changes can contribute to many of the symptoms you are having. Even if you kept your ovaries there is a chance they do not function after a hysterectomy - your doctor can run tests to ckeck your hormone levels. Let us know what the doctor has to say and keep us posted on how you are doing.
