Im so glad to post todays letter,my update

After many weeks of fighting for my care, finally I am getting the medical attention i need and will be soon be on my way to a pain free life and being able to celebrate the end of this journey.I can never be able to thank everyone enough for you help and support. It seems my last phone call to the quality assurance person of my hmo had paid off. I saw a specialist who is Dr. that is outside of my hmo. He has performed 2 colonoscopy's and a endoscope on me in the last year and I feel very comfortable with his opinion. I do have a bile leak from a gallbladder surgery of 8 months ago, the hysterectomy just made my complications from it worse. My doctor just removing the fluid was not going to fix the problem, it just put a bandaide on it for a couple days, so the pain of the aspiration, and then the drain were not appropiate treatments. My only optian is for an ERCP, which is a tube down my throat to my bile ducts, he will place a stent where the bile duct meets the intestine ,it will equalize the pressure between my bile duct and intestines which will stop the leak and allow it to heal..then in 3-4 weeks he will go back down and remove this stent and life will be pain free and no looking like im nine months pregnate and im healed from my hysterectomy,no more infections and life is good. There are risks of course but the doctor that is performing specializes in this procedure. I might have to stay in the hospital over nite for observation but i feel comfortable with that. I will be going in on may 27th so you all should be hearing from me on the 28th In the mean time I am taking oral morphine 30 mg and I am a little nauseated from that but pain free with that. so I only have a couple more days.Im happy that this is almost over with, angry that my hmo doctor has put me through so much in the last 3 weeks for nothing, what he was doing was never going to heal me,and i also have fear of the complications, there is no other way but this option. My swelling after being up for 2 to 3 hours is from this leak, the upper bowel is swollen,im happy to know that I am going to be one of those sisters with a successful hysterectomy, my hysterectomy didnt cause it, it just made my symptoms which is good,if i didnt have the hysterectomy this area could have abcessed and or ruptured and i could have had some many more serious problems..new pain meds and being pain free right now. Im doing good. will keep everyone posted. I know your prayers sister is what really brought today. thank you and will see you all on the 28th with the ending of this post.......but will still be here to watch over this site. Love seeing and hearing everyones journey plus keep in contact with all the new friends i have made..

hugs and thanks sisters
