Burning Sensation anyone !

I am now 6 weeks post op after TAH. Had very foul smelling discharge that started at 2 weeks PO. Treated with mega doses of three different antibiotics for two weeks. Which knocked me out totally.

Now whenever I do anything a little physical I get this horrible burning inside. It feels like someone started a fire in my belly. Yesterday I passed the wiper snipper on my lawn for a half hour and am paying big time. The only position which is not so bad is lying on my back. Tylenol ones are not even easing the feeling.

Am do to go back to work next week but cannot imagine how I will get through a day feeling like this. My job is very physical am a computer support technicien, so I spend my days carrying computer equipement around. The paper plant I work in does not have any elevators so I need to be able to walk up three flights of stairs at least 5 times a day, and often carrying something.

Does anyone else have this burning and do you know what its from ?

Thanks for all the info on this sight it has been a godsend !

Burning Sensation anyone !

My doctor told me to call the office if I had any kind of burning along with a fever and a foul smelling discharge. I haven't had that (fever and discharge), but I do get a burning sensation if I over do it. I called him anyway and he ordered a urinalysis which turned out negative. I'd call your doctor just to be sure.

Burning Sensation anyone !

From the minute I woke up after surgery, I had a burning pain on only one side. That pain would come back whenever I tried to do too much. Finally, at about 3wks, it stopped. I mentioned it to my doc at my 4wk visit and she said it could have something to do with the fascia? I don't even know what that is, but she wasn't concerned about and neither am I since it's really resolved itself. But that was the worst pain I've experienced with this.

Burning Sensation anyone !

Hi
the fascia is the outside tissue that covers all the muscles in our bodies. I only know this because I had to have it repaired in my leg after a car accident. It does get a burning sensation as it heals and stretches with the muscles. That's why you can feel it more when you tend to over due. another reason to take it slow these first few months after surgery. But Linda since you had other complications you may want to ask your doctor if this is what is happening ..he/she may want to look into it. Best of luck
