How long does it take for Estrogen to work?

It does take a little while to work but you should notice some difference in a few more days. You may actually get some hot flashes as the new level settles in, so don't let that alarm you. In about 2-4 weeks you should be starting to feel pretty good.

Thanks for your quick reply. I thought I had to increase the dose and I really wanted to take as little as possible. I actually had the doctor reduce it from 6.25 to 3 mg of Premarin (estrogen). Thanks again.

.3 might be OK if you have your ovaries but if you don't then the minimum dose for bone and heart protection is .625mg. Why did you reduce the dose, if you don't mind me asking?
