what's this pain? OUCH!

Hi everyone

Here I thought I'd be doing better by now. 4 weeks today and I feel like I did at 2 weeks post op. I have been in pain all day and even 600mg of ibuprofen didn't work. I'm getting this really bad pain on my right side around the incision area. I can't stand or walk much. It's a stabbing pain with a constant ache. I can't bend or do anything that I was able to do yesterday.

I felt so good this weekend and yet I didn't do all that much. I'm thinking maybe I over did but I don't think so. I'v ebeen having to pee more today also. I constantly feel like I need to go. I'm also having trouble sitting...the pain is shooting right up my vagina. I've had this before nbut it's driving me nuts today.

Is is possible that I might be ovulating and having pain? I'm just not sure what's going on.

I'm so swollen

This stinks!

Oh (((Sweetie))), I'm so sorry you're in so much pain, just when you thought that you had this recovery thing under control

I agree with nancie that you need to contact your doctor on this issue: new pain of this intensity needs to be addressed. And, even if it turns out to be a normal part of recovery, it's always better to err on the side of caution.

Please let us know how you're doing

what's this pain? OUCH!

hello
I went to the doctor with pain like that last week. I am also terribly constipated. The Dr. had me use a fleet laxative and thought this would take care of the problem. It didn't. I still can't have a BM without using a laxative. I hurt real bad on the right and now the left of my incision. It hurts to walk at times. It also hurts when I laugh, cry or bend over. I wake up after a couple hours at night , hurting. I have been up since 1:45 this morning. I went to the dr. today. He said my bowel sounds are good, but when he tapped on my abdomen it hurt real bad. He is sending me for a CT scan with contrast tomorrow. If this pain keeps up, please contact your doctor. He put me on a liquid diet, no fiber supplements and took me off of my iron pills. He also said no more laxatives to make my bowels move. He has been great and really listens to me. He is puzzled about this too. He said by now in my recovery there shouldn't be this kind of pain or bowels that won't move on their own. If you kept your ovaries, my doc said we will still ovulate, just like before.
Good luck with your recovery
Peggy
