I'm up tonight. I have a pain in the back of one leg in the calf. It feels somewhat like a charley horse, but it's been here for 1/2 an hour now. Charlie Horses have never lasted that long for me. Should I be concerned about a blood clot? It's below the back of the knee.
Please...contact your Dr. or go the the Emergency Room to have your leg checked out. There's no way we can guess whether or not you may have a blood clot; but if you do, it is a very serious condition and can have severe consequences.
I'm not trying to worry you, but with something like this, it really is best to have it medically evaluated...the sooner, the better.
Please let us know how you are and what the Dr. says, ok?
Tina's right. You need to have this checked out ASAP. I had a blood clot (deep vein thrombosis) which started as pain in my thigh at 2 1/2 weeks post op. In the meantime, do NOT rub the leg, because if there's a clot you could cause it to break free. Please call now. It's better to err on the side of caution when a blood clot could be involved.
