Todays the day in the UK - help!!!!!

Well here I sit typing with trembling fingers - my DH is trying to drag me away from my beloved hyster-sisters, to go and buy an armful of magazines, I have to be at the hospital at 11-00am but am not going for surgery until 3-00pm does this mean that the dreaded bowel prep is lying in wait for me when I get there hmmm.........that thought only just occurred to me!

heartfelt hugs and all good wishes for all the lovely sisters who have talked to me over the months it has taken to get to this point I am really humbled by the bravery and selflessness shown by some of the women who have taken the time to be patient with a worried person over the 'pond'!

Thanks also to Kathy, Toonces and all the other lovely hostessess you really have a good place for women to share in the world- thank-you.

Prayers and healing thoughts for all sisters sharing this date for surgery and I hope to be back at the ol' keyboard asap to encourage those still worrying - l0l.......watch this space..........

Todays the day in the UK - help!!!!!

Hi EnglishAnnie,

I'm English too! I think most of our US friends are in bed, except the insomniacs.

Good luck today, do we have bowel prep in the UK? Going for my pre-ops tomorrow so will find out more then.

It's horrible having to wait around. Last time I had an op I had to go in for 8.00 am, no food or water, did not go down until 5.00pm! So I guess you are better off twiddling your thumbs at home than in hosp.

Thinking of you today!

Oh No I've missed saying good luck - I've only just logged on - it's 10.15 pm where I am so by now you should be well out of surgery and back in your room lost in a morphine dream. When you wake up I wish you the speediest recovery and a wonderful 3 months at home.

And don't forget to let us know how you got on - but I'm sure I don't have to remind you of that.
