yellow discharge??

I'm 5 wks. post-op and have had a thin, yellow vaginal discharge that requires me to wear panti-liners. I thought I was finished with panti-liners! With my 10-day post-op check-up I told the Dr. about the discharge and he checked me for a yeast infection. No yeast infection, no itching, no odor, no fever. Dr. didn't seem concerned about it. I have called his nurse twice and she doesn't know. It's not painful, just annoying not knowing what's causing it.
Thanks for reading.

yellow discharge??

I am 6 1/2 weeks post-op and STILL am getting the yellow discharge. I had one day with no discharge and thought I was done -- nope, it started again.

My doctor wasn't concerned either. She said it is the product of disolving stitches.

I'd like to be done with panti-liners too. I wore pads of various sizes from panti-liners to Depends pads for nine months straight prior to my hyst. I look forward to not having to wear a pad of any size!

yellow discharge??

Hi!

I am wearing panty liners too. I am over nine months post op.
At first I thought the discharge was normal because it would change in color because of healing stages. Only it never completely stopped. My GYN kept telling me she couldn't see any discharge or infection but she did tell me that I was healing slow. Finally she saw granulation.
Talk to your doctor to see if that could be what is wrong.

yellow discharge??

I too had a yellow discharge still at 7 weeks. When I went for my final check up the DH said I had granulation and that was causing the discharge. He used silver nitrate and it quit after about a week.

yellow discharge??

Sorry I made a mistake on my last post. It was my DR not my Dh. He wouldn't know what was going on!

yellow discharge??

I had discharge until just after 6 weeks...everything fine at check up and think it has finally gone now.

I had some bright green stuff one day...immediately thought of infection..then got a green striped stitch thru' that dissolved in the bath water. Weird..

yellow discharge??

Same here ... I also had a bladder sling along with my TVH and A&P repairs so I was really freaked out when I noticed the yellow discharge.
Dr. said the same thing .. stitches dissolving, it's all normal.
I threw out my Poise pads and my tampons and my maxi-pads (actually gave them away with a big smile on my face!) but keep going back to buy more panti-liners. I tell myself "this will be my last box EVER" but then have to go back and buy more.
(sigh)
I guess patience is NOT my virtue!

yellow discharge??

The way my DR explained granulation is that where the vaginal cuff is sometimes tissue will seep through the stitches causing discharge or spotting. He said it can be very common and nothing to worry about. He used silver nitrate on it and said sometimes you may need to do it again. I guess I was lucky it worked the first time for me. (at least so far) You might want to do a search on granulation because I don't know if I explained it exactly right.
