almost 17 months post OP w/ ???

I have my first Upper respitory infection since my surgery., I feel awful have a terrible cough stuffy, achy... its been 5 days now. I really am afraid to take anything OTC b/c of the other meds am on.Estradiol,testim, nexium, ativan,vitaminB-6,vitamin E.... you get the idea. Plus I have the AV block, and MVP nad alot of OTCmeds make myheart race.anyway I had hear it rattling and wheeezy, i amsure it will pass my daughter had it for over a week(did give hermeds though) and so did my boys they were better in a few days(cept for a little remaining cough) MY ?? is
do I need to be more worried about a clot or anything given that i am on HRT?? does it make any difference w/ a chest cold?

Hi Cheryl!

Ugh to feeling sick like that. I've had a couple of those upper respiratory bugs myself since surgery. I did take an OTC cough expectorant/supressant, though.

I don't know that being on HRT or not makes any difference. As always, if you're concerned you should call either your doctor or pharmacist to run this all past them. It can give you peace of mind while you recover!

Thanks, its more b./c of the heart things then the HRT that I cant take otc cough meds, it makes myheart race so bad.
guess I will just have to suffer thru it and let it run its course, I mean its been 5 days already gotta go soon huh>??
if I start wheezing really bad i will call my dr..
on the birght side I havent had a cig all day!
