i wish all you liw the best of surgery and will be waiting to hear for you guys when you return home

Looks like I missed my best wishes - not sure how, cos I feel like I am never off this site.

Well less than 12 hours now, and I go in. 18 hours it is all over (that feels good) I feel slightly nauseous right now, (mind you just filled up on a huge supper)

Good to see post from gals in the UK

A new beginning...A new LIFE!!!! It's your birthday, all over again!

My case is packed, the dog's gone to her Dad's, my DBF will arrive tomorrow evening in time to go to the hospital with me Friday morning ..............OOER...........it's going to happen! (Hurray!)

I am begining to wonder if there is something wrong with me. I am not yet feeling nervous about friday and that surprises me. Normaly I would be sick to my stomache by now and not able to concentrate on anything else.

48 hours from now I will be a princess and it hasn't sunk in yet.

Hope it doesn't all hit me at once.

The poison ivy is settling down, I hope my primary doctor isn't going to be a jerk and withhold clearance tomorrow. My doc's office called and said as long as the rash is not infected and not bothering me, we're on for Friday.

I've packed:
My fanny pack to strap to the bed rail with glasses, prayer stuff, lip balm, aqua drops, breath fresheners, hand lotion samples, and a memo pad and pens.

My "day 1" bag with slippers, toiletries, magazines, paperback books, hard candies, CDs and CD player/batteries.

My "day 2 bag" with robe, gown, granny panties, Mens XL jersey sweatpants, large t-shirt.

I've organized my bedside area a bit. Tissues, hand sanitizer, lotions, thermometer, etc. What else did people like to keep nearby the bed when they get home? I've got my bed tray, knitting supplies, books, and of course all the remotes!

One more handy thing, our phone system has an intercom so I can reach the DH if he's on the first floor or in the basement!

Tomorrow I have to work, but I hope to squeeze in trip to the grocery to stock up for the boys, and clean the bathrooms a bit. Other than that, they're gonna have to make do.
