Thyroid problems.......

My thyroid levels recently came back "out of the normal range". It registered .250, which is below the normal .350. It was repeated and it came back low again. I am being told that I am hyperthyroid. However, I have about 3/4 of all of the symptoms of hypo and none of the hyper symptoms.

I am going to see an endocrinologist in mid-July, which was the earliest appointment I could get. I have always had a struggle to lose weight. I currently walk 15-20 miles a week and have been on a 1200 calorie/day diet. In 8 weeks I have lost 12 lbs. I'm fatigued every afternoon and my palpitations have increased over the last few weeks. (My EKG came out normal.) My memory is horrible and I lose my thoughts frequently.

I'm waiting for the hardcopy of my levels, so I'm not sure what the T3, etc. numbers are. Has anyone ever heard of what I'm experiencing?? Hoping to hear from someone.......

Thyroid problems.......

Hi Jag

I am hypo but have all the hyper symptoms - I am thin, I feel the heat terribly - I am always hot! I find it hard to sleep but am really tired! It is a truly weird illness.

When you say your level is .250, what level is this? If TSH it is good, if free T4 then not!

Cheers
