Frustrated at 12 weeks!!!

Hi evertyone! I am so frustrated! About a week ago my incision on the outside opened up on one side. I have been putting neosporin on it and bandages and it just keeps bleeding. So today the color of the blood changed to a darker red and I called my dr. Now I have to go after work and have the dr open up the side of my incision in the hospital!!!! I am so tired of being in pain. I didnt take any pain meds for the entire post op, and now with this I just want some relief from the pain. I am afraid to ask my dr for anything ( mostly because I work in the ER, and I know it will sound like I am a drug seeker) What should I do??? Help! Has anyone else experianced this?

Whoa! at 12 weeks???

I'm only 8 weeks or so, and gosh, I had no idea there was the possiblity of the incision reopening!

Now I'm gonna have to go look in the bathrom mirror to see if there's anything scarey going on!!!!

Hope you're better soon!

Frustrated at 12 weeks!!!

Hi karabear,

I'm so sorry you're still in pain...glad to hear you contacted your dr about it though. While I've not experienced what you are going thru, I wouldn't hesitate asking the dr for some pain meds. If you are hurting, you need some help. You will heal better if you are pain free.

Let him know all that's been happening. Hopefully he will understand and prescribe something for you.

Sending you a big and let us know how things go.

Blessings.

Frustrated at 12 weeks!!!

Hi Karabear,

So sorry your incision is acting up. Please don't use Neosporin at the incision site. I was told it can cause an allergic reaction if used for more than a day or two. I don't know if this is part of the problem but ask your dr about it. Get well soon....

Cheers
Gale

Thank you for the words of encouragement! I am off to go back to the hospital now, I am really nervous about having the darn thing messed with again. Wish me luck! I will let you all know how it went later.

Hugs
