Do you have a comfort movie???

Since I have been sick, I have watched my two comfort movies over and over again. They seem to make me smile and just feel so much better. I am always looking for more good movies to rent at Netflix. What are you're favorite movies to watch ladies? My two are Bridget Jones Diary and Ever After: A Cinderella Story.

Do you have a comfort movie???

Bridget Jones is a wonderful movie. Just love all the British humor and expressions.

Have you seen "Emma" with Gwyneth Paltrow? I like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "Love in the Afternoon" for my Audrey Hepburn fix . Almost any Doris Day movie. Also "Down with Love" was a hillarious take off on the Doris Day genre. "Maid in Manhattan" is cute. "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" is good. One of my favs is "The Wedding Planner". Also "An Affair to Rember" and the remake "Love Affair" are G-reat!

Oh, I could go on ... better get back to work!!!!!

Do you have a comfort movie???

My favourite movie that I can watch over and over is probably "The Dish". It stars Sam Neill and Andrew Warburton (Putty on Seinfeld). It is based on the true story of the first Apollo moon landing in July of 1969.
The Dish, that is the title of the movie, is a satellite dish located in the middle of a sheep pasture in Australia. They were depending on 2 satellite dishes at the time (the other in the western U.S.), to relay the transmission of Neill Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin taking their first steps on the moon.
The characters are charming and somewhat eccentric, and you can't help but fall in love with each one of them.

Comfort movie

I have about 4 favorite comfort movies. I try to catch them
everytime they come on my direct tv. My ABSOLUTE fave is
"Dirty Dancing". Next would be "Urban Cowboy", then it
would be "Con Air", then last would be "Saturday Night
Fever". As you can see, I love the older movies from 15 to
20 years back. I am a HUGE fan of the black and white flicks
of the 30s and 40s.

Anyone else a fan of movies from Hollywoods Golden Age?

Do you have a comfort movie???

I have one comfort movie and I have seen it I don't know how many times - can say most of the lines along with them!!
It's Bull Durham. I LOVE Kevin Costner, and I LOVE baseball. And it's a cute, easy going, don't-have-to-pay-attention-too-hard love story!! Definitely a comfort movie! A friend bought the VHS movie for me years and years ago, then one of my University roommates took it and I never got it back, so DH bought me another VHS copy. Then we were in Walmart and saw it on DVD for $6.88, so now I have the everlasting DVD version!!

I love the classics: "An Affair to Remember" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Also, "Wait until Dark" is another great Audrey Hepburn flick.
For my "un" feminine side, I love to watch the "Godfather". Movie making at it's finest.
