doctor just called

Well, I am about 10 hours away from going into the hospital for my hyst. My doctor just called and wanted to double check that this is really what I want to do. ( Has a bit of reservation, only because I am 32.) With all of my problems he does believe that otherwise this is a good idea for me.
I have a question. After the surgery the doctor is going to put me on .1mg of estrogen- the patch. Then I will follow up with my other hormone doctor to figure out the best hormone replacement for me. She has already told me that she is going to perscribe compounded meds from a compounding pharmacy.
Does the .1mg patch sound like the norm for after the surgery? I am a bit scared about the hormone thing. Hot flashes make me panic! Any thoughts???

Hi! The .1 mg. patch is the norm for surgeons to use after surgery. Most women wake up from surgery with their patch already on. I had to ask for mine the following day. It's wonderful that you have a doctor who works with a compounding pharmacy to get your hormones in balance. That's what we are all looking for in our journey through this hormone jungle. Good luck to you. s and ers~Moonchime
