One of our hystersisters has remarked about a product called Mederma. It's fairly expensive, but she was pleased with the results. Perhaps you could ask your pharmacist about it.

I used Calendula creme daily for a few monthes(you can get it at the health food store)a couple years ago on a 5 inch knee scar and you can barely see it -- it never got that funny translucent color to it - several drs. have commented on how great it looked- it was $9.40 for a 4 oz jar (i just bought a jar the other day for my new scar!)

Try Lavender

Therapeutic grade pure Essential Oil of Lavender is a godsend when it comes to fading scars. Lavender oil can be used without a carrier oil and not only can it help with scarring it can help in the healing process too. Apply a few drops to the scar twice daily and in a very short time you will see a real difference. By the way, it is also great to keep in the kitchen in case you burn yourself, put straight onto a burn it numbs the pain and facilitates really quick healing. You can buy Lavender at an aromatherapy shop or health food store or many places on-line. Make sure to buy "PURE" essential oil of lavender, not one blended with a carrier oil.

PS a few drops of lavender oil on a tissue slipped into your pillow case at night can really help sleep too.

products to make scar fade????

When I had my right ovarie and tub removed in 96 I used St.Ives vitemine E cream. The one in the little tub because it's more consintrated. got it at the drugstore for a couple of dollars. Use it daily. My scare is not bad at all.
Hope this was helpfull.

products to make scar fade????

Wow, I'll have to try some of this stuff. My doctor prescribed Retin A for me to apply to my scars. I did so for about 8 weeks, and it really helped my scars heal. However, I had to stop using it because it started causing a rash on the healthy skin around the scar.

The original use for Retin A is for people who get scars on their face from bad acne problems. But, it works great on all kinds of scars as I have found out...

Best Wishes,
