Was prolapse anyones reason for hyst.?

Hi,
This is my first time on this web site and I can't believe I can actually answer some questions!
I had a VH, rectocele, bns and cystocele 6 weeks ago. I had a 10 lb. baby and then some twins after that. I had NO pain post op. I had a catheter(in the bladder through the stomach) for 2 and 1/2 weeks. That helped incase I couldn't pee well. I had major rectal repair and it was simple. Honestly.
I thought I only had bladder prolapse when I went in but then he told me all the other things had fallen down, actually out, too. It was a shock to have it done at first but I feel like a new person. I didn't realize how bad it was, I just got use to it.
The one thing I highly recomend is, have a urologist do any bladder or rectal repair and have a GYN do the hysterectomy. They both can do all of it but I know too many people who have had problems that way.
Good luck.

PROLAPSE

I DIDN'T HAVE ANY VAGINAL BURNING OR PAIN THERE WITH THE PROLAPSE. MOMOF3BOYS SUMS IT UP RATHER WELL. I HAD PAIN JUST ABOUT EVERYWHERE ELSE - THE PAIN FROM FROM THE CYSTS AND HYPERPLASIA MADE IT ALL MISERABLE. AND THE BOWEL MOVEMENTS HAD GOTTEN TO BE QUITE AN ORDEAL. I COULDN'T USE TAMPONS ANYMORE. I AM NOW 4 WEEKS POSTOP AND I AM AMAZED AT THE DIFFERENCE ALREADY IN THE BOWEL MOVEMENTS -- JUST THAT HAS MADE IT ALL WORTHWHILE. OF COURSE THE FIRST 2 1/2 WEEKS WERE DIFFICULT ENOUGH AS IT WAS WITH GASES AND PAINFUL B-M, BUT FEELS BETTER ALREADY.
GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS
