Tomorrow

Dear Friends,

I'm off to the castle with Dee & Reba. My best wishes to you both. I'm nervous too, but I keep reminding myself just how many women do this journey each day, week or year. I find comfort in numbers. We can do this! Think positive thoughts for a safe and as comfortable as possible trip. Meet you on the other side.

Dear Dee, Reba and Amber,

Good luck at the castle tomorrow and remember treat yourself like you are going to a resort!! Everything will be alright and they will take very good care of you. I was extremely nervous and now that I am on the other side I can tell you the hardest part was the wait. Keep yourself medicated, rested and don't do anything when you get home if at all possible. I know that is difficult for us but it will help you feel much better!!

You will all be princesses before you know it!!

God Bless and sending prayers,
Valerie

I'm not sure if you will get this before you leave for the castle, but I hopeso.

I had TVH and the pain after was like a very mild cramping but no way near at all like I'd been getting so was very surprised. I was given pain meds when they'd finished operating and had a morphine pump to use. I was actually bemused that I was being told to use it when the level of pain was so far greater with flo!!

Just remember though that if you DO find yourself in really bad pain, let them know as they may beable to give you something else. The last thing the castle want is for you to be suffering and it's exactly what they told me! Oh yeah, and shout before it gets too bad.

I hope though you will be as pleasantly surprised as me and I too worried like crazy over it so know where you're at! But at no time since the op have I had pain like flo brought.

I really hope it goes really well, have a good speedy recovery. All the best

Dear Dee,
I am sending you hugs and prayers and hopefully you will get this before you leave for the castle. I think you should just go ahead and cry your eyes out and get it all out of there! I am 44 and just had my TAH/BSO 12 days ago. I was emotional before the surgery but did not really cry but did a lot of reflecting on going through the whole process. I was a total mess the year I turned 30 it was a very difficult birthday, perhaps some of those tears are spilling because of your May birthday--I cried about a month after mine. Just know that you are never alone and the sisters are all here with wide open arms.

Take time to recover and bless you as you recover and become a new you!

Valerie

PS Have some one bring chocolates when you get home. I swear chocolate never tasted so good as when you are recovering from surgery!!!
