Orgasm Too Soon?

I had TAH June 10th, 2 1/2 weeks ago. I know intercourse is out of the question for quite a while. My dilemma is, I was aroused and had an orgasm through self stimulation (only on the outside). Now I wonder if I could have hurt myself inside. I feel okay, but am too embarrassed to ask my doctor. You wonderful ladies are the only ones I can ask.

Orgasm Too Soon?

Mariangela,

I don't see how you could have hurt yourself if you feel okay about it. I'm sure that if you felt good enough to "try" then you should be fine. Did you have any after effects? You are pretty early in your recovery so I'm amazed that you would even "feel" like it. You go girl!! I didn't even want to think about sex at that stage. Remember to take it easy, get plenty of rest, and be very gentle with yourself.

s, Joanne

Orgasm Too Soon?

I actually had an orgasm from a dream about 4 or 5 days post-op. - Haven't had any problems.

Orgasm Too Soon?

#1, Don't be embarassed to ask your doc ANYTHING... seriously, they've heard it all before and then some!

#2, If you are worried about it, ask your doc... better to put your mind at ease than stress yourself out of a good night's sleep.

#3, My own experience has been that it's ok for "outer" play. Im just over 2 weeks post op and have been incredibly aroused constantly! (Unusual for me, because prior to surgery I had little to no desire. However, I've had way less pain after surgery than before, so I think Im playing catch up )

Inner play is of course out until the doc's ok, due to possibly undueing his good work on vaginal cuffs, etc. Plus inner play introduces bacteria into the vagina which makes infection more likely. This is also why they say "showers only" and no baths or swimming for a while.

Again, my personal experience is that "outer play" and orgasms are excellent for your feeling of well being and mental health. I just try not to jump around too much, just take it slow and easy.

Again, ask your doc if you're really concerned or if you feel worse afterwards... better safe than sorry... ONE CHANCE TO HEAL RIGHT... take advantage of it
