Severe depression 2 months post-op

Hi Girls,

I had a TVH with bladder repair on 9/20, which went very well--no real problems, and I went home 3 days later feeling fantastic. However, I have been seriously depressed the last few weeks and extremely tired. I will see my doc tomorrow for a check-up and will mention my concerns. I'm wondering if I have a hormone imbalance? He did tell me pre-op that my testosterone was almost nil, and I might need hormone therapy after surgery.

I have no sex drive still (which has been a problem for the past year or so, though I'm partnerless anyway) and very tired and overweight. Or am I tired because I'm overweight? Anyway, I had hoped to feel better than this at this point. ):

Thanks, Girls, you're all a lifesaver!!!

Because you still have your ovaries, there's a 50% chance they are still producing hormones. I think it would be a good idea to have him check your hormones again and get him to check your thyroid hormone. The classic symptom of low thyroid is fatigue.
