Hi everyone
Since i'm going insane & as nervous as what i think i can get
I thought it might be nice to talk to someone having the op around the same time as i am!
I can't believe only 14 days to go

Having mine the day after yours. (Scheduled just for TVH, but think I will end up having LAVH - I started a new post with that question). I can hardly stand the wait - am so excited! But also having a friend come from 2 states away to help with the house/kids, and she's never been here, so I'm frantic doing a bunch of cleaning/organizing projects. :hair: Between that and the upcoming holiday, I'm sure it will go quick.
Good luck!

Hi,

Mine is the day after yours, the 15th. I am also nervous but
anxious also to get this over with. I have read posts that the anxiety in waiting is the worst.

I am scheduled 2 days ahead of you on Monday, July 12th. My wait was 7 weeks, so I am getting pretty anxious. Also having a TAH due to very, very large fibroids (one like a football). Good luck to you. This site is very helpful and you will find comfort from all of the sisters who offer their guidance and support.

Hi!!!

We have an easy way for members to find other members who share a surgery date: Go to the Calendar (listed at the top of this page, under the HS Store ad) and go to your date and there you will see everyone who has registered their surgery date! This is how we hostesses get the names for our BEST WISHES posts! This is one reason it is important for members to post their surgery dates in their profiles!!!

Here is a link to the July Calendar:

Best wishes in your upcoming surgeries!!!

Surgery in July

My surgery is 39 hours and counting and I can't wait. Been in quite a bit of pain and until today was so consumed with getting family members taken care of, cleaning the house, hiding things I don't want my mom to see that I hadn't had time to think of how big this really is. Had a meltdown this afternoon, but the alternative is to live miserably. So, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go including a nice little box of chocolates for my nursers. (It's not beneath me to be a little brown noser). Just need to get my hair cut and colored tomorrow. Need to be a pretty princess at the castle!

Surgery in July

i am new to this site. i have been on the endozone.org for a while now. i was diagnosed with endo 4/28/04. have had much more intense pain since the surgery. dr localized the pain in my uterus and ligaments and suggested a hysterectomy. i have never planned on having children, nor has my husband. this seemed the logical next step. i am a little unsure what the abreviations ya'll use are for. i am keeping both my ovaries for now. my surgery is 7/19/04. i hope each and every one of you have pain free days ahead!

Surgery in July

I too am scheduled for TAH on July 14th. (at this point am anticipating saving the ovaries and cervix. Just getting rid of the uterous and the cute little fibroid the size of a baby's head) Went for pre-op blood testing, etc, today and they had a terrible time finding veins and getting any blood. It was really painful...and then I think of this leading too surgery.OOOH!!

I am nervous and a little overwhelmed. It seems like work, DH and DM (I am an only child to a non driving widowed mother) want so much of my time and attention. I really don't know how I will get everything done that they all want and expect from me. And them of course, I have my own things I need to get done, you know the nesting thing has hit again with a vengence. I keep thinking of all the things I need to get done before the big day. I also don't think any of my family really, truly realizes how much I will NOT be able to do. They are going to be in for a big surprise.

Good luck on the 14th. I will try to be dreaming of you being in the same place at the same time.
