New Here had LAVH on June 25th

Hi! Any June 25th princessess here? I had a LAVH op. Was VERY thankful that my Dr. could do the hysterectomy that way. I had had 2 c-sections and knew what a abdominal hysterectomy would be like if my Dr. had to do that. My surgery took longer the expected but Dr. still did everything she could to do it all laproscopically. YA! I even have pictures
I am feeling okay. Good days and bad. I am having difficulty with 'bm's' which is frustrating me. Stool softners just aren't cutting it. Switched to a gentle laxative yesterday, it has help. I fatigue easily and have no tolerance for the kids! I am walking regualarly (learned that from having 2 c-sections).
I go to the Dr. thurs. for my 2 week exam. I don't have to worry about any stitches or staple removal my Dr. used this new liquid stitch stuff on my. It is really cool, looks like I've glued shut.
One question for those who have LAVH...On my right side, at the incesion, when I lay down I feel a bulge just a little. It only bulges when I am laying on my left side or turning over but not when I stand or sit. Is this normal?
Anyway, glad I found this board. I am learning a lot! Wish I found it before the surgery

Hi,
I just want to welcome you and wish you well, you sound as if all is well, that is great, that buldge may be scar tissue..just a guess though, that is what I thought mine was and it has caused be no problems.
I know your feeling good, but don't overdo, this is much more serious then a c section, a lot more, even though you don't have a scar you had a ton of work done, read on the boards here and make sure you take the healing process seriously okay?
Keep doing well
Hugs
Mary
