Granulation at 3 months Post Op?

I am wondering if I could be experiencing the tell tale signs of Granulation even at 3 months after my LAVH.

It took my stitches (internal) an extended period of time to heal. At 6 weeks they were still in tact as if they had just been done.

I am not having bleeding with intercourse so I assumed everything was ok.

But I am having a significant amount of discharge. Initially I thought it could be urine, but it isn't. It is every day and is found on my undergarments. It ranges from an egg yolk yellow, to orange/rust colour and even sometimes a little pale pink. I can see it fall into the toilet in drops and it leaves stains on my underwear. I doesn't smell horrible, but not "right" either. Kind of like vinegar and strong. Sorry!

Could this be signs of granulation tissue? Even this late in recovery? It just seems really wet inside and always dripping something.

Thanks so much.

Blessings

(((Blessings)))

Please give your doctor a call - you need to be examined. It is possible you could have some granulation - it is also possible you could have an infection (the yellow color, vinegar smell). The only way to be certain is to see your doctor. Please call your doctor as soon as possible - if you have developed an infection you need to get treated right away. Let us know what the docotor says and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Thanks for your kind reply.

I always feel nervous asking for help from my doctor. I guess it has just been such a long journey and every time I face needing help it takes me back to the struggle that I have had getting someone to take my pain seriously. I know in my that I have a good sense of my body and each time I have thought something wasn't right it wasn't.

I have probably left this longer than I should have, but I wanted to be sure that it was necessary to go and have it checked. There is no burning or itchy feeling, just this fluid leaking from me that is a variety of colours (yellow, pink, orange). Sorry, yikes. And my belly/pelvis feels really irritated and angry inside, like when you have sand in your eye and it rubs and stings.

I feel I know my body and am intelligent, but when I go to the doctor I sometimes feel like they doubt what I feel. I guess with my long history it is only natural to feel apprehensive.

Listening to my body I would say that I either have granulation tissue or have had an ovarian cyst rupture. I will call and make an appointment.

Thanks so much,

Blessings

Yes, I would suggest you do give your doctor a call. I haven't had a discharge since 6 weeks. I know we all do diffrently, but best to get it checked out.....Let us know how you do. Hugs xx
