LAVH Question

Hi -

I am new here - My LAVH is in 6 weeks - and they are fairly sure that they will be able to go VH - but since I have never had children - they may have to go AH...

Is there anyone out there who has had LAVH without having had children first?

I had a LAVH but I had 2 children prior to my hysterectomy. Hopefully someone will come along soon who can answer your question.

I cannot answer your question for certain as I am still 11 days from my scheduled LAVH. However, I was concerned about this as well. I have 2 DDs, but had c-sections with both. I asked my doc about it. He said based on what he saw in a laparoscopy last month that there is an 80 percent chance that he can do this vaginally.

I will let you know what happens after July 26.

I had my LAVH on 5/27 and never had children (I'm 44). The surgery was no probem and I felt great just a week after. I can't believe I had any surgery at all. Good luck to you!

I had my LAVH on July 7th with no complications. I have 2 DD's and both were done by c-section.
