Friday, Friday! July 16
TGIF! That’s one saying that I never get tired of. Well, we planned to go camping on our mtn property tomorrow, just DH and me (DS is staying home with a buddy so he can work), a quiet outing for my birthday . . . but now, rain is in the forecast for all day Sunday. So, not sure what we’ll do. Maybe we’ll just do a day trip.
I am already more tired. No, I don’t think it’s my imagination because of what my doctor told me. I had been feeling more tired lately anyway. Today I am dragging already. So maybe my weekend will end up with me at home vegging instead of any activities. Wonder what fun I can have for my birthday with new OPness . . . maybe rent some movies .
Did my yoga this morning, but could not talk myself into the WAP tape. Doctor said to do whatever my body told me to do the next two weeks. Then I’ll start feeling better on the adjusted thyroid meds and hopefully the other supplements. That I am looking forward to!
Hope everyone has a great day!
 s,
Shirley

Good Morning Everyone! Shirley, I hope you don't get rained out this weekend. It might be just what you need. I tend to not get as tired, if I'm not around the house. Getting out will help me push through it sometimes. (Our rain is expected here tonight and in the morning).
Today is a busy day for me. (Seems that's all I do these days ). I'm still doing stuff off the list that needs to be done. This is all stuff we were going to do anyway, but stuff we tend to put off when it's just DH and I, so the reunion is a good thing as it's gotten us to get some of those less desireable chores finished.
I'm planning on being OP today. But that was yesterday's plan too. But DH, (who was going to work late) ended up not being late and brought left over deli sandwiches from work. He had put them in his frig from a customer function. They were really yummy but not as OP as the chili I was going to make him when he got home.
I did walk and mow so lots of exercise. The scales are staying put so I'll take that until after the reunion (when food won't be good at all). Then I'll get back at it.
I hope everyone has a BEST OP day!

I am trying to make my last couple of weeks before my surgery enjoyable for my daughters since I will not be able to do them after the surgery. This weekend is full and I am glad because it helps to keep my mind about my castle visit. Going to the local baseball team game tonight. Tomorrow taking them to a free outdoor play but spending the entire day walking around the town, fishing and playing and the play is at night. Joseph and the technicolor dreamcoats. Then Sunday I am letting my girls have a barbeque pool party. I know it will be chilly but kids do not care they will still swim. In any free time I have I will continue on getting some of my list items completed. I feel my time prior to the surgery should be best provided to my girls since they will be deprived of it all later.

Good morning all!
I had a very busy day yesterday running errands, shopping, etc. My eating definitely could have been better. I tried to make spagetti with sundried tomatoes for dinner last night, but it didn't come out the way that I wanted it to. Next time, I'll just follow the recipe. Today, I plan to be as OP as I can be. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!

Hi BEST friends!
 s Shirley!!!!
Nancy, we have been doing things around our house like mad as well all in preparation for the big wedding.
Well, I have continued to stay OP on Phase One with some modifications like fruit! I just can't be as strict as I should be but the scale has gone down so no complaints here. Water is better and this morning I will be heading off to Curves. Clothes are really getting BIG on me again so it is time for a purge. And lo and behold........my engagement ring fits and is on my finger right now. This is the first time I am able to wear it since.......well I don't know since when. Now that is a MO moment if I ever heard of one. This weekend will be a busy one and I will try and post and let you know if I find a dress for the wedding. It is my first attempt at shopping for one so we will see...........later.

Morning Ladies! Hope you are all doing well. I forgot, to mention that I am down another pound. That was unexpected because of all the crap I had while in Nashville. My day went as planned yesterday and I did have the pork roast for dinner. Today I’ve had some yogurt w/granola in it for breakfast … both homemade. : ) Lunch will be a couple slices of pizza from our office pizza party, and dinner will be a California Spinach salad with some of the left over pork roast in it. That should balance out the day nicely.
Heading to this afternoon as usual, for an extra long cardio workout. (last night there was no pilates class, it was an hour earlier than when I get to the gym).
Random Q’s:
Christmas: there’s a sign in our office with a Santa hat that says “coming 8/1204” umm yeah, It comes early when you’re in retail.
nudgeit2: Welcome … no offense meant, but are ya in the right forum? Were ya looking for friends without faces? You’ve wondered into the Better Eaters Support Team forum, where we (for the most part) discuss exercise and nutrition, losing and maintaining weight.
Green Eggs: Anyone have any ideas on what I did wrong? The other night I sautéed some red onions and made them into an omelet. Refrigerated it and took it for breakfast the next morning. When I opened my container the onions had turned a bright green! I’ve never seen red onions change color after I sautéed them. Consequently I didn’t eat it … the color change concerned me.
Have a BEST day!

Good afternoon ladeeeez!
Today, I am burning mad!!!! Today is the last day of school, and I started work early, as I needed to finish just 5, yes FIVE minutes early, as DDs finishing at 1.30pm, which is also the time I finish work!
They stuck me on the front till for the last half hour, knew it would happen, 1 lady back late from lunch, 1 lady in bang on the dot at 1.30, got to put her coat away, and 1 lad starting at 1.30, passed him in, on my mad rush when I left at 20 to 2.
I had 6 bottles of wine, and bought 6 bottle bags, also a bunch of flowers, and a retirement card for the special needs teacher, who much to my disappoinment is retiring!
Anyway, to cut a long story short, only 3 teachers left at school by time I got there, so I have 3 bottles of wine and 3 bottle bags, plus lucky I caught SEN teacher in car park. I am fuming! I started work 20 mins early then worked on 10 mins, all unpaid, and got left with all this wine! There's my whine!!
Anyway, in my temper, have cleaned 3 rooms, and swept the stairs from top to bottom. Only had time to grab a couple of slices of toast and a coffee so far, so I reckon I've earned a chinese takeaway tonight dont you girls?(and a large glass of wine!)
Thanks for letting me get all that anger out!

Hello and a BEST day to all, though it looks like a mixed bag here today!
Fran, you sure tried, didn't you? And now to be stuck with 3 lovely bottles of wine... what's a girl to do?! It's good you put that temper to good use by cleaning but I hope you're still taking it easy after surgery. You still need to pamper yourself!
BSQ, way to go on losing a pound! Sometimes that happens when we least expect it!
Emily, I hope your shopping goes well for the dress for DD's wedding. Awesome about the ring fitting again, and the clothes not fitting. You are such an inspiration!
Dee, when all else fails, follow the directions! I don't usually stray much from a recipe the first few times I try it.
Nancy, be sure to take a break and sit on your deck to enjoy the gardens and some well-deserved down time!
Shirley, the mountains in the rain sound okay to me! Enjoy the time away from home any way you can.
Nudgeit2, I wondered too if you meant to post here. Of course you're welcome to join in if you like. By the way, your girls won't be deprived of your time after surgery---it will just be in a different, more quiet way. You're sweet to plan the party for them!
Hugs to all the BEST ladies!
~Donna

wow - bet you can't believe it's really me here!
This has been a wild week with a job that just absolutely never quits - guess I'll be working some tomorrow too I'm so terribly far behind!
The scale has NOT been kind to me this week - it's not that I have that much to lose - I just can't get the scale to budge at all. I think if I ever get my hormones balanced, it will help. I'll be seeing the dr in about a week and a half and if he can't help me, I have found a hormone specialist but he can't get me in til September. Today, I ripped off my patch and here I am with nothing - I'm just so sick of all of this! Everything I take or don't take makes me dizzy. Yes, I'm blonde but surely there is something out there that won't make my head go swimming!
Shirley - I am so sorry that you are feeling 100%. Being rather new to this forum, I am not totally sure what all you have going on, but my thoughts and prayers are with you. Have fun up in the mountains - just sitting and looking at them would be fun for me.
Fran - Why don't we all get together and enjoy your wine! That would be a blast. I'm so sorry about how your day turned out tho - I too would be really upset.
BSQ - I am so happy for you losing that lb. - give me hope! I have never heard of red onion turning green! I would not have eaten it either - I can't imagine what caused that.
Emily - wow - have fun shopping for the dress. I cannot even imagine how exciting this must be for you. I have 2 grown sons but neither is married - heck, they aren't even dating.
Dee - that spaghetti sounds like it would be really good. I made a yummy spaghetti dinner the other night with wheat spaghetti, ground turkey, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and chopped fresh tomatoes - it was awesome! I followed the recipe
Nancy - I cannot even imagine working outside the way you and your DH do - it is soooooooo blasted hot here - I can't even describe to you how hot it is. All I know is when I get back home every day from being out on appointments - my underwear is wet as well as the rest of me!
Have a great rest of the evening - I promise to check in tomorrow in between laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning the pool, sweating, sweating some more, and forcing the water down my throat!
 s
Kay
