Next D&C coming July 21st - after 6 months of Megace!

Well, 6 months of Megace are up... going in for my D&C on Wednesday!!!! Six months has seemed sooo long, I'm so hoping the precancerous cells are gone!

I won't find out the pathology results till my post-op on the 30th, so still some waiting to go even after the D&C.

Thanks! I'm already getting anxious about tomorrow!!!

I do the pre-op at the surgical center today (heart check, blood draw, etc), and then tomorrow at 6am I arrive at the surgical center to get prepped and all. The D&C is scheduled for 7am, so bright and early!

Well, I'm doing fine, ... I'm a little achy and tired, but not enough to take any meds. They called me in some Vicodin, but I refused, as I'm really not in pain at all.. just achy. The doc apparently told my hubby it looked better than last time, so hopefully it's all good. Guess I'll find out on the 30th!

One thing.... my primary doc got a copy of the bloodwork/urinalysis and he called me. He said I had a lot of glucose in my urine -- I told him the Megace can cause you to be diabetic, but that I'm going off of it, so we're just going to watch it every few months. I hope to goodness the Megace didn't mess me up there-- I've got too many diabetics in my family and I've done a lot to try to prevent it in myself (limiting refined sugar, exercising, etc).

Back from another procedure/stepping stone.. Good for you : )

You know, I can't remember ever being given urinalysis before the d&c's .. only bloodwork.. sometimes I think I should keep a journal again.

I wasn't aware of Megace being able to trigger diabetes, but upon more research, I see that although this is rare, it is possible.

The Megace worked! My doctor called and said ALL THE PRECANCEROUS CELLS ARE GONE!!! I'm going to be taking Prometrium 14 days a month to keep them at bay until I can get to the fertility doc.
