Estrogen

Hi Ladies:

I had a my TAH 3-19 (four months ago). When I came home they gave me the Vivelle Dot. 0.05. I was worried about it because I had severe endo for years but my Dr. seems to think it was okay. I then bumped myself down to 0.37 as I was just stress out about it. Well that was not enough, hot flashes, depression, etc. so when back to 0.05. Seems to have been doing okay and now, after couple of months on it, I am moody, emotional and vaginal problems, etc. I am 47 seven do you think I am not on enough, or is there something else I can take naturally along with it. I wanted to be over this PSM stuff and it seems I am right back in it.
Thanks ladies for any help you can give me. I love guys.

Tina

Estrogen

Hi, Tina:

I am 7 mo post-op and am using the V-dot .075. Several months after surgery I started having vaginal problems and my dr prescribed vagifem. It has worked great for me. It is a tiny tablet inserted vaginally. I started out with 1 tablet inserted nightly for 2 weeks and then to every Mon., Wed. & Fri. It really helped with the dryness issue. I am also using a compounded testosterone cream on the vulva nightly. You might get on the Hormone Jungle for more answers. I hope this helps you.
Good luck.

Carolyn

Estrogen

Tina:
I am 39 and was immediately placed on estradiol .1 patch after surgery. The pharmacy gave me the generic kind which was a large and bulky patch that caused some irration after about the 4th day. My doctor switched me to the v - dot at .1 which I change twice a week. That has worked much better for me. He also prescribed premarin which I insert vaginally 3 times a week for dryness and elasticity. It seems to be helping. Why not contact your doctor to see about a change.
Good luck.

Estrogen

Thanks ladies:

I will call my DR. I am have been on the Estrace cream also, 1/2 application 3 times a week, but something isn't right. I don't think its a yeast or BV infection. It feels the same as it did a while back and it wasn't an infection. Sometimes I just feel like jumping into the lake. LOL. Figure of speach of course.

Have a great weekend.

Tina
