It's been 5 months and my doc told me 6 to 8 weeks. It did stop in between the two. Even though, I'm going back Tuesday for spotting after sex. Thats been going on for about 2 months. I wasn't to concerned until I realized its been too long after my surgery to be doing that. It will stop but if it doesn't call the doc.

My discharge stopped at about 4 1/2 weeks. I know that this sounds terrible, I was so embarrased when my doc told me this, but try to make sure that you wipe really well after going potty. Some of the yellow may be urine left behind that is difficult to get because of the swelly belly. If you keep having lots of liquid discharge...talk to your doc to make sure it's not a fistula.

Take care,

A fistula is what you think. It can be a complication of having a hyst. I really would suggest you call your doctor to see what the cause of the discharge is since you are concerned. The doc will understand.

Take care,
M.

Yep discharge at 10 1/2 weeks which is granulation - 10 - 15 % of women get granulation which is treatable with silver nitrate (that didn't hurt) and can be done in the specialist's surgery.

I feel the same, when will I be better? : (

But one consilation - it's better than before the op : )

We just ned to take it one day at a time. I do get depressed that I'm taking longer than the usual amount of time to heal.

Keep resting when u can. Huuuuuuuuugs

I'm almost 9 weeks post op and still having slight discharge. Dr said he saw no granulation and no sutures remaining, but prescribed me Metro Gel to use for 5 days. It hasn't been that bad, so I've not filled the rx, just because I don't want to have to shell out another 30.00. But my question is, what is the Metro Gel for?
