5 week post op appointment

Came out of my 5 week check with a clean bill of health! No scar tissue..........healing beautifully. Got the go ahead for whatever I want to do...........except sex. Dr. recommends we wait one more week.........having it now will result in bleeding.....and that's not fun!.........sooooo.......still working on the foreplay! Dr. told me that there are still lots of stitches.........so remember to take care of myself & listen to my body when it says.......time to relax. She also prescribed me an antibiotic.....Metronidazole. This will take care of the odor we are all so familiar with........I'll let you know how it works. My pathology report came back benign........had a huge fibroid growth on the top of my uterus.........so, all good news.......needless to say, I was walking out of my appointment with a perma-smile! Take care of yourselves........

5 week post op appointment

Hi there,
I too had my 5 week post op check up(last week). Everything was Ok (my last every medical internal).

We have made love (after a fashion), although we definately took it gently. Did this just before my 5 week check up. My doc was delighted.

Its funny isn't it how different doctors think & say different things (mind you, I had a TAH - what about you, was it a TVH?)

Anyway, delighted that everything is going OK for you.
hugs

5 week post op appointment

No Womb Bay - we had surgery the same day. I too had my 5 week check up today and was cleared by the doctor to resume normal activities, I said "even sex" and he said "everything - you're fine". I said "even tennis, going to the gym, abdominal crunches" He just looked at me and say YES. I'm looking forward to being with my DH tonight. Hope everything goes ok.

It is true what you say about Doctors and the varying opinions. I know we are all different and heal differently, but mine was so conversative. I wondered if it was because he was a gyn/oncologist. Of course, I made him tell me again it was just a weird fibroid.

Well...happy healing and good health to all of us.
