stabbing pain inner left thigh
hello,
I am 12 days post op from tah/bso have been having a stabbing, burning, almost like something caught or tearing pain in my inside upper left thigh that goes to where my left ovary would have been. This happens most when getting up or trying to turn on side, which i still cant do and wish i could since i normally sleep this way. My left side has been more swollen and has several areas which feel numb. I have also been running a temp of 100.5 daily for about 4 hours each day for the last 5 days. Wondering if anybody ever had anything like this.
thanks!!!!
p.s. i am going to dr tomorrow

stabbing pain inner left thigh
I too experienced that tearing burning pain - when I tried to get on my side, or getting out of bed. I asked my doc about it, and he basically said "don't roll on your side" --- so I slept on my back for 2 1/2 weeks (yuk) - I now at 3 weeks and 4 days post op can sleep on both sides with no pain. I'm much happier yahoo!
And I also ran a temp - it was 100.4 and 100.1 and I only had it in the evenings after 4 pm until bed time. I did that for 3 days, then started bleeding some, so I went to the doc and he found out I had a UTI and bladder infection - heavy antibiotics and I feel much much better now. Still bleeding lightly - but not bad.
Hang in there - the first week I felt great, the 2nd weeks was bad and now the 3-4 week post op is running smooth and I feel much much better.
 Best of luck

stabbing pain inner left thigh
The worst pain I felt after my SAH was at the top inside of my left thigh, nowhere near where my incision was. I figured it was nerve damage from the incision. This is a long shot, but do you still have steri-strips on the incision? I finally peeled mine off around day 13 post-op, and the awful burning on my left side stopped pretty much instantly. I know it's unlikely that'll be the case for everyone, but I thought I'd mention it....

stabbing pain inner left thigh
Hi !!!!!!
Went to see doc today asked about pain he said he figured was nerve damage should be better in 2 weeks. But i was wondering about the steristrips yes i still had all of them. He said I
could remove if i wanted. Went to my mom's to have her help since I can't see a thing down there and Dr. didnt offer to remove. Since they have been off I have not had the pain sure hope it stays that way. I would also like to thank everyone on the site for being so helpful.
