Hi friends
I'm having a hard day. I must have gained 5 lbs this week, so won't go into food intake. My father has been released from the hospital but his mental state is actually worse. His walking is better, though, and we hope that makes a difference. I have to change my travel plans and go to Florida with my parents,. and I've been on hold with Delta for well over an hour and a half, maybe even two hours, trying to figure out how to do it. They don't answer the phone, just keep playing awful music and telling me how I can save money.
I'm sending hugs to everyone and letting you know that I miss you and I appreciate your support.
It's here. Funny, everyone has different temperatures now. And I'm too hot everywhere. Yet it's actually hot, it's not me!!
Have a great day, friends, and I sure hope I'm not still sitting on hold when the next person checks in!!
AAAAARRRRGGGGHHH they just cut me off!!!!!!!
this is ridiculous, I'm burning up calories just fuming-

Morning!
Hi to all of you, got to be brief, got 2 DDs breathing down my neck, waiting for the computer.
Not very awake yet, been up half an hour. Today is the first day I have been able to fall back asleep. I woke up and my back was in half, and that fuzzy early morning thing is twice as bad today.
We are off to MIL pm. Most probably it will be boiled bacon and chips. That and the banana mashed on toast that I will be having shortly will be my meals of the day, and any snacks will be fruit. You should see how much fruit I bought yesterday, bananas, apples, oranges, pears, kiwis strawberries
Will catch up with you later, going on my bike, youngest DD is getting desperate!

Good Chilly Morning....
Hard to believe it's August with temperatures in the 50's this morning... I just love the natural air conditioning
Well, getting preped for the colonoscopy was like a comedy of errors... stopped to get my referrals & then DH's truck (which I was driving on Wed) wouldn't start back up. DD came to get me, but I couldn't start prep as I had to drive DH down to the truck when he came home from work. Ended up getting it towed. So, the prep that should have started at 4 p.m. started at 7 p.m... after I had to go back out & buy ginger ale - I really dislike ginger ale. Then the storms came in Wed. & we lost power most of the night... so flash lights lit my way
The procedure went well... just a removal of 1 small polyp... and lots of sleep. I really should have taken yesterday off from work as it was so difficult to concentrate -- it's getting better though. Just glad that's over... as well as all of the jokes that I've been the subject of. But, I was glad I did it as I was able to pass this information on to several ladies who were putting it off. It's really not so bad.
to Rhonda -- 34 year old!!!!
I am really going to miss the ongoing saga of TD & the squirrel... to funny -- brings back memories of when my girls were younger.
Desk... hope your dad recovers quickly.
Well... that's all my brain can handle this morning. I am finally getting a bit of my appetite back & need food. Have a great day!!
Sue

Hey Sueperb, just noticed that today is your hysterversary!
Glad you are over the colonoscopy!
Just spent a couple of hours in the garden. Got to go to B&Q now, for more strimmer wire.
Garden is looking not too bad, DH rang & is on his way home, and I said I'd look at a plastic table and chairs for this year.
Thought that if the weather stays nice, we could sit in the garden and sip chilled wine
Means I've got to do poo patrol everyday, but I am determined to have a garden to sit in this year,
Off to get a long cold drink of something nice!

Saturday!! Aug 7
Hi all!
I woke up very sore this morning-- Just a week and a half ago, I started back on my exercise routine for my strengthening and toning, but also started walking several times a week. I have to get up at 2:30 AM to do the toning exercises, before I get ready for work, then I've been walking in the evening. Yesterday, I increased my weight a little on my bowflex, then last night my friend and I walked our newfound 4 mile mark at a brisker pace. On top of that, I work in a factory and had to do a different, more strenuously physical job than my normal job yesterday. Ladies, I feel like I've been run-over by a truck!!! LOL! But in same sense I feel a whole lot better than I did just last week. I've lost 5 lbs. since I started, too. So I'm ecstatic!!!
Also, this Friday is my DH and my 10th anniversary of finding one another--next month is our 8th wedding anniversary, and things just keep getting better in that department I think the exercising is helping in that area as well!!!
This site is totally awesome!!! Thanks princesses, and God bless!!

Just a quick post before we head off for big city shopping -
Desk, I'm sending lots of positive thoughts in your direction today for you and your dad. And I hope you finally found a human at Delta! They do still have humans working at the end of the muzak and voice mail, don't they?
Sue, you do get some strange comments about the colonoscopy, don't you? I remember a few from last year when I had it done. You can take pleasure in the fact that the people with all the jokes will probably be on the other end of the scope, so to speak, themselves in the not too distant future...
Fran, the fruit sounds wonderful! I just love all the produce available in the summer!
Christine, I thought I was getting up early to exercise at four - but two thirty!!! Congrats on the five pounds!!
OK, I'm off to shop! Still working on the bathroom project - still searching for the perfect shower curtain that doesn't exist. Maybe I can talk DH into McD's for lunch - I'm suffering from stepometer envy. lol
Have a wonderful August weekend!

Good Morning Everyone! It's a beautiful, blue sky, no clouds day here in Mid-Michigan. I'm going to take my new book outside and catch a few rays this morning. DH is playing golf. Then it's our time. We're going to go for a ride in the convertable I think and just relax. We haven't had much of that for the last couple of months. I'm ready for some "US" fun.
Food yesterday was good. So was the water. DH knew I was craving a Culver's carmel cashew sundae. (We don't have a Culvers any closer than about 90 minutes away thank goodness). So we brought home ice cream, and cashews. And he made me a very small sundae. It was lovely and I ate it slowly so the craving is gone and I didn't really do too badly. Culvers are huge and tons of toppings.
Desk, I hope you found someone at Delta. Maybe being so late at night might have been part of the problem.
Fran, You sound so busy each day. And you are prepared for each one. That's great.
Sue, Glad your procedure went well. I've heard many people say they just aren't as bad as we all make them out to be.
Christine, Wow, 2:30. I'm not sure I could exercise at 2:30
Sandi, Do you have a Bed Bath and Beyond store near you. They have a lot of choices sometimes. Or type "shower curtain" into a google search. I found a ton of places that have curtains with good prices and fast shipping. Just a thought.
 to everyone

Morning everyone. Too early in this time zone for my friends to be up n about so I've had a good Did well yesterday OP and am satisfied with my choices. Today we're just gonna hang at the beach and relax until the reunion tonight. Tomorrow is a picnic at out old home town park (last time they did this we had more fun at the park then at the reunion!)
Anyway ... Random Q's
Desk: You and your family remain in our prayers.
Cucumbers: I can't remember who asked a few days ago asked if there were seedless cucumbers. Yes! They are the long skinny ones wrapoped in cellophane in the market labled "english cucumbers" They are much more mild than the regular ones I think.
Can't sit n gab ... natives are arriving, time to go have some Mickey Pancakes!
Have a BEST day gals, and ENJOY it!

Hi all,
I'm glad to be back here after my pc upgrade and ridding it of the gremlins it had!
It looks like I've a fair amount of catching up to do with everyone and everything so please forgive me for not putting in any personal bits to you all.
I didn't do very well in my july goals overall which is disappointing to say the least but at least I can still improve on it . Things have been hectic with family moving away, mum (.....sigh!) and my own developing saga's. (I'm not going to put it all in this post so carry on breathing )
The weather here is sooooooooo nice and hot so water is going down nicely. I've tried out some smoothie recipes so fruit is on the up too. As for the rest, I've got to now work out my August goals!
See you all soon!

 Hi everyone!
It's another beautiful, sunny day here!! I've walked and then watched DS play a coach-pitch baseball game. Nice thing about those games is they play 3 at-bats or one hour, whichever is less.
DD is begging to go shopping so that's on the agenda for today. I hope she has a clue as to what she needs because I'm no help!
Desk, I hope you got to talk to someone at Delta. What a frustrating way to spend time. I hope your Dad starts feeling better and that the walking will help. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Fran, sounds like you bought out all of the fresh fruit! Yum!
Christine, on the weight loss!
Sue, glad you got by with just one polyp and that it wasn't such a bad procedure.
Sandi, DH and I have one of those stepometers. You really do need one, too! It's a cute little thing, and fun!!
Nancy, enjoy your drive today with DH. The weather sounds ideal for a ride in the convertible. Where's the smiley with hair blowing in the wind?!
BSQ, your weekend sounds like it's packed with fun. Enjoy!
~Donna
