Heard back from Path Lab

Well,

After sweating all morning, and biting my tounge after each unsuccesful attempt to get ahold of the pathology lab ( they had left a messege on my answering machine over the weekend and went home before I had a chance to respond), I found out that all they wanted was to know if they could use the rest of my tissue samples for some kind of research.

I wasn't at all expecting that!

The woman apologized all over the place for scaring me.

Anyway, I said I'd gladly donate since what else can I do with the stuff? And maybe it will help other women not to develop this problem in the first place.

I want to thank all who responded over the weekend. Thank you so much for the thoughts and prayers. That gave me more encouragement than anything.

I have been blessed by God in that he put all of you in my path, and I hope I can do the same for others. Venting time for me is over. Now I hope only to encourage as I have been encouraged.

That's good news Marta. Did you tell them how it unnerved you over the weekend? Places should know how we think and feel. A simple addition of "This is about something other than your report" or "This is a request unrelated to your report" would be simple and save us so much stress.

Happy to hear the news, Marta. Isn't it amazing, when you encounter people "in the business" to see just how out of touch some of them really can be?!

Hopefully they will keep this in mind for the next time they reach an answering machine.

I am glad that it wasn't nothing serious, and I hope that they will be a little bit more forthcoming when they make a call like that again.
