Prayers for Virgie (Forgen) and a Thought

Virgie, who posted as Forgen on cancer concerns, went to God on July 31. I know her loving family can use our prayers right now. As I was posting over on CC something occurred to me--that these women we have lost to cancer and those in our family and our friends who have died aren't lost to us--and we can now ask them to take our prayers to God. We lose people--and gain an advocate in Heaven for us.

I have been wondering about and praying for Virgie. Now,
I ask the Lord to comfort her family and friends. When she
was given her terminal diagnosis, she wrote a post and
told us to live each day as if it may be our last. Those are very
wise words to live by. Thank you Virgie, for reminding us that
each and every day is a special gift from God. Now,
Virgie, I pray that you are in that special place where there is
no sickness nor sorrow.

This breaks my heart:cry:, I remember the times I prayed with her, she was such a strong fighter and so sweet. That is a beautiful thought Ellen and so true. This will be so hard to do, I will pray now .. God give me the strength to do this.

Heavenly Father I ask that you be with Virgie's family, she has gone on home to be with you, put your tender loving arms around her family and friends, especially her sons and DH, keep them in your tender loving care, comfort and soothe thier grieving hearts, Reassure them that she will always be with them, when they think of Virgie, help them to cherish the memories in thier heart, let them remember how she lived not how she died. Walk with them, hold thier hand, guide thier feet as they now try to put the pieces back together. Lord, we also ask that you be with Jeanine and her Cancer sisters, who grew close to her and became her family, let your will be done, in your gracious name, Amen.

I really liked your perspective....you're right...we do gain an advocate in Heaven. As sad as it is to hear of Forgen's passing, her spirit was really something and that will live on. It does, however, give those of us in Cancer Concerns a jolt when we hear this news.
