Can I swim? Bathe?? Get "it" wet???

Does anyone know how long to wait after a TVH to take a bath, swim etc? Can we get water "up there???" I am 2 weeks post-op and would love a bath vs. shower about now, but still have light bleeding so I wonder what you've all done?

Hi You really need to ask your DR about this one, because they all have their own preferences. Mine told me that "nothing in the vagina for six weeks" meant water, too -- no tub baths, no swimming, no hot tubs.

Thank You!

I have my post-op visit next week, so I'll just wait until then. I appreciate your advice.

i had a tah and wasn't allowed to get my incision soaking wet (take a bath) until 2 weeks after surgery. i could shower with saran wrap covering my incision 2 days after surgery. when in doubt, call the doc. good luck, dee
