Uncomfortable Binding

I purchased the belt or binding that the hospital offered and was disappointed. I have allergies and it was supposed to lessen the pain when I coughed or sneezed, but it is too wide, too stiff and too scratchy to use. Did anyone else have this problem and did you find a better substitute? Looks to me like using a pillow does the job just as well.

Uncomfortable Binding

Hi,

Sorry the binder didn't work out. A lot of ladies here have had good results with the Swelly Belly Band that is sold in our store here.

I didn't need one since I had a TVH, but if a pillow is not doing the trick, then you might look into the band.

Hope your revovery is going well.

Uncomfortable Binding

Wow suzyQ23 why don't we need one with a TVH I sure get swelly belly but I don't think I could stand anything on my tummy?

At 14 weeks post op tomorrow I still can't stand anything slightly firm on my tummy, darn. Not even tight underwear, even my groin area can't stand it, I had to cute the elastic in my undies.

It sure felt strange when I sneezed or coughed - I didn't do either of them to begin with, it felt too weird.

Yep a pillow and / or bending over when u sneeze or cough helps.

Thank u ladies - blessings and quick healing girls!
