fosamax side effects
i had a dexta scan a year ago and found out i had osteopenia,
which really surprised me since i worked out daily and thought
i was doing so good with diet. anyway my dr talked to me about
fosamax and it sounded good, i took it exactly like i was suppose
to and now a year later am struggling with constant heartburn.
had to go to a gastroenterologist and have test to see if any
damage was done, thankfully it isn't that bad that i can't take
meds for it, but haven't found anything yet to get rid of the
pain and burning...it's a nightmare to say the least...wish i had
never taken that stuff. drs just don't know which women will
have problems and which won't.

Hi ((trippie)),
I'm sorry to hear you were one to experience these side effects I have no experience with Fosamax...I'm sure there are others here who will come along shortly & perhaps share something that might be of some help in providing you with some relief In the meantime, you might also have some luck in using our search feature which is located here:

I have always found it to be of a great help in locating other members dealing with similar situations/symptoms!
Good Luck with everything and thank you for sharing that info as well! I do hope you can find some relief soon...pls keep us posted on how things are going...((((hugs))))

fosamax side effects
Thank you so much for the warning.
The AMA recommendations make it sound as though Fosomax is such a clear alternative to hrt for the one condition it's still clearly good at preventing. But I'm scared of it for just this reason with my history of GERD.

fosamax side effects
Hi trippie. I am all so on fosamax one wkly. I too got that heart burn you mention and yes it is a really pain in the chest and throat. The doctor gave me Nexium 40mg. to take. One the night before I take Fosamax and one the night that I took fosamax. It works great and I don't need it every time. I tend to be ok for a while then it will return and I will use the Nexium and in a week or two it is fine again. I sure hope this isn't not a for ever type of thing. hmmm I have only been on it for about 5 months now. And this post reminded me to check on my supply and I need more for this Sunday. Thanks I just ordered more. It will be delivered later today.
Now only if there was something that would take these hot flashes away I would be all set.
Hugs, 2Pegasus
