Confused - HELP!

OK, I had a TAH/BSO on March 23, 2004 due to large fibroids and endometrosis. (Still have my cervix). I'm still trying to decide what to do when it comes to HRT's. I suffer from hot flashes, night sweats and insomnia. Currently I am trying Estroven (w/Black Cohash and Soy). Now today someone told me that taking Black Cohash can harm your liver. I found a web site <admin. snip, no solicitation or links per site guidelines> that has a salvia test that can be ordered to test hormone levels to figure out exactly what my body needs. They are selling BHRT bioidential hormone replacement therapy creams for hormonal imbalance. So now I'm even more confused on what I should do. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

It can take up to a year for your hormones to level out. I wouldn't do hormone testing yet, but that is up to you. I used Black Cohosh the first year on the advice of my DR and it truly helped. It's up to you whether to take it or not. It is something that has been used for many years. Balance can be hard to find for some.
