Granular tissue, discharge, and all that fun stuff! Is this normal?
Hi there! I had a TVH on February 24th of this year. I have some questions about the healing process...I have been going in for the silver nitrate procedure every 3 weeks since the beginning. I have no bleeding, but an extreme amount of clear discharge. Are any of you experiencing this? I also still have very bad cramps, which really confuses me...what is left to cramp, lol? My doctor pretty much blows me off when I try to ask him these things, and we're military, so I can't switch doctors easily. Also, I have been taking Prempro since February. Well, yesterday I saw a commercial on tv for it and it said to NOT take it if you've had a hysterectomy! So I got the package insert, and under warnings in the insert, it says do not take if you have had a hysterectomy. Are any of you taking this? Why would my doctor put me on a pill that says hysterectomy patients should in no way use the product???? Oh, I'm so confused! I'm sorry for rambling on...but I'm very glad I found this site!

Hello dear rambling princess : > u didn't ramble.
I'm 14 1/2 weeks post op TVH rect repair kept ovaries. With the darn granulation discharge mine's yellow and since last Friday spotted red again.
My darn doc silver nitrated me at 9 weeks post op, my one and only internal by him. I've insisted on seeing him this week for hopefully another nitrate treatment. He just kept stalling me and saying "Give it longer to heal" like 22 weeks if I keep waiting rill he's ready - nope! (no sex allowed of course)
My local doc examined me last Friday and said there's 1 part granulation on the vag cuff. She gave me some estrogen cream to insert - it helps alot. I had to insert twice a day for the first 3 days and now every 2nd day once a day. The cream helps the vagina regain it's natural balance, strength, elasticity etc and helps me heal hopefully.
I get pain in my right side which I've figured out is the vag cuff granulation. It hurts and I still rest heaps and quit my job cause I couldn't stand all this stress.
I get severe cramps before I need to do BMs (bowel motions). I think the BM rubs against the vag cuff and that's what causes the pain, do u think that's what yours is? It feels just like really severe crampy period pain.
I find I have to keep my bowels very very happy or the pain is shocking still. I have to eat very very healthy.
Do what your doc says hopefully he/she knows what their doing.
Keep in touch : ) blessings and good health
