I was told any discharge, smelly or otherwise, I should report to my doc.
I had a discharge and it was smelly, not to alarm you, but in my case it was an infection.
I would get a second opinion........

I would call the doc back and let him know whats going on. I'm almost 3 weeks post op and was told to call if there was any bright red bleeding, clots, or odor. I know I'm not much help but I'm sure your doc will put you on the right path. good luck!

tan discharge with odor

Hi Barbie66

I had a LAVH about 5 weeks ago, and I also had smelly discharge when I came home. I waited about 2 weeks before calling my doctor, to see if the smell and discharge would go away, it did not so I called my doctor's office and she ask me to come into her office and she examed me, it turn out to be an infection. She gave me a jelly to use for 5 days and it cleared the infection no more smelly discharge.

tan discharge with odor

Hey There,

I had the same thing about a week after surgery. I called my Dr and she told me it was probably an bacterial infection, and put me on some type of gel. Well it cleared up for about 3 days, then back again. This time she told me to use a medicated douche, same thing, back in a few days. So on my check up , she gave me metro-gel and I used it for 5 days. So far so good, it has not been back. Hope this helps ya. I know how you feel, It is awful.

Take care,

Jeanne

tan discharge with odor

I had a tan discharge that smelled terrible. I was the same way 4 or 5 showers a day and felt like i smelled up the room. My DR. said it was probubly the stitches disolving. Also that was what alot of the ladies said on hers. Any it finally went away when I was around the 3 week mark. ..Take care and good luck

tan discharge with odor

Second week post-op I had a small amount of discharge. I was concerned about the odor and called my doc's office. I was also told it was probably stitches dissolving, but to call if it continued or increased, if I had a temperature, or any other symptoms that concerned me. The discharge did not last long.

Your situation sounds different, and possibly a little more serious than mine. If I were you, I would definitely contact my doctor and ask to be seen.
