Very embarrassed to ask this

I don't know how to ask this......but....If I were feel the inside of me right now, would it feel the same as before? Is there anything "close by" that is missing?? Are the walls still there or is it a big cave? I'm scared to check or to ask!

blushing....

Carla

I afraid to check as well! I do know that the walls are still there. What type of surgery did you have? Did you keep your cervix? I had my surgery the day after you did so I am curious about the answers as well.

Fear not ladies! You still have walls, and even if the cervix is removed, they sew you shut up there. Its called a vaginal cuff.My hubby said it all feels the same in there, and now that its not "broken" any more, theres more oppertunity to use it.Heal, then enjoy the new freedom you will have!

Plese don't worry! That vaginal cuff is placed exactly where the uterus was, so your partner won't ever feel the difference. Your vaginal walls are untouched, it is only closed, but very far away from the reach of a penis.

My husband and I can't tell a difference, either. We're quite happy now!

I haven't had any bleeding after my exams, either. I felt very little discomfort at both of my internal exams since surgery. I go back in December for my 6 month checkup. All in all, I feel much better since surgery!

Good Luck to all you princesses!

I'm happy I found this question. I am 4 weeks post-op (TVH, posterior and anterior repair) and my DH and I were intimate (or tried to be) for the first time since surgery last night. I am a little embarrassed to ask this too, but, is it "normal" for your vagina to be shortened? I noticed that I felt a lot shorter and my poor DH didn't fit in all the way!!! Is this because I'm only 4 weeks, or should I be concerned?:confuse:

Very good questions....

I had mine 8 weeks ago, and got the "all clear" 2 weeks ago. First things first.. there is no gaping hole where stuff was before.

Second, it feels wonderful for both me and my DSO. No spotting, no real pain, just some minor discomfort to begin with.

thank you all

That is so funny that I am reading this because I keep telling myself that when I do get to have sex again it is going to be like a empty room down there.
