Date set but have lots of time to wait

Well I have set my date for Nov. 4. Will be having an abdominal hyst because he is also going to do some bladder repair at the same time as well as my overies out. (don't want to deal with overian cancer too) Got a lot of time to prepare. Any suggestions? I just had a mastecomy a month ago so I am not looking forward to surgery again. How do I help my family cope with mom being down for a lot longer this time.
